This is Siblings. At least that's what I'm calling it until I come up with a better title. I started it during Nanowrimo and by that I mean I started it in November and decided I might use it to fulfill any promise I may or may not have made Jessica to do nanowrimo with her. I posted the first part on Deadjournal all those fateful months ago, and this second part I finished shortly after. Thanks to Neigh's decision to set me up on livejournal and grossbirds I am uncharacteristically motivated to write and, even more impressive, work on a project.

After hanging out with Mary this weekend and talking with her about my idea for this book, I got excited about it again. So, this is mainly what I'll (hopefully) be working on in the future, aside from Grimdon doodles, writing snippets and an essay about my father called "Afterthought", which is turning out to actually be good and I might post it if I finish it.

It needs to be edited and I already have revisions I want done, but I'm holding myself back (with effort) so that I have the potential to finish it instead of rewriting the same paragraph over and over. At least one thing I want to ask is about my metaphors. I really like images, but I'm afraid that when I go off on my tangents to describe this really cool image I become verbose and confusing instead of impressive and clever. Any images confuse you and distract you from the narration? One in particular is when he is outside of the airport, drinking his coffee and takes a breath of cold air. Does it work?

So, here it is organized into what I posted on deadjournal and the newer part. I'll post subsequent additions to it in the future.

Well, might as well slap a few short things up here before Photoshop becomes a dusty relic.

Also: Making a scratch-art for the sister. To get it to her in time for her birthday, I will have to ship it tomorrow. I am skeptical this will happen. *le sigh* In any case, I seem to have fallen into a trend of giving her lion pictures as presents.

Aight, yo. I wish I could do a larger post, but the bed is calling...

Today during lunch I barfed out this. I kinda like it. It isn't finished, but still it's interesting and not romantic in the least.

So, I just started writing and it came out of nowhere. I stopped writing because I felt it becoming a story like that of Kristi and Brittney's, where there's a cadet or novice and is being trained or indoctrinated into a society of some kind. Didn't want to start plagiarizing, especially my friends. I don't really know what to do with it yet, but I do know that I like the male character at the end with the eyes.

...yeah. Just don't know what to do with it.

Oh! I should probably mention that she is about to take a test of some kind...I think. Like I said it isn't finished.

So, I feel the pressure to contribute to the collage of creative splatter and to introduce myself as a grossbird. EW! EW! Gross.

The problem is...I don't really have anything. I am in denial that my memory stick isn't possibly broken and I only have scribbles of writing lying around from over the summer. Still, I want to post, so here is something that I wrote recently, it's short and maybe not finished, at least it feels to me like I started out strong and then rushed to figure out how to finish it. Haven't edited it yet and not sure what to accomplish with it...so, now that I've hedged as much as I can, here is a writing doodle.

Um, yeah, so the reason it's awkward is I'm pretty sure it was born of all of the romance novels I read this summer. No gratuitous sex, but...yeah. Read at your own risk.

Why, hello there!

Brittney made me join, and I promise to post art... uh, at some point.
Also, Brittney might be typing right now, but I will do stuff later. This weekend. At some dull moment. Which, of them, there are a lot of, especially while my ever boring friends are around, the bitches.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

This has all been translated through Brittney's fingers, and is subject to legal copyright notice, as well as a $50 surcharge for being published to the internet without her knowledge or consent.

Normally I'm not so wordy.

We decided that Laura was MORDECAI BUTTERFIELD. Sometimes informant, sometimes ruffian! He maintains few chivalries and fewer scruples.

So, Jessica and I were chatting...

And then...

AND THEN...

WELL, LET'S JUST SAY WE'VE FANFICTIONED OURSELVES.

GO GO OBEDIAH DAPPLECAKE!

Would you like some backstory?Collapse )

CLEARLY, WE ARE NOT ON DRUGS OF ANY KIND.

Brittney was nervous about the amount of middle aged men who seemed to be discovering her on the internet.

So I have conceived a FLAWLESS FALSE IDENTITY.
