This is my most recent web design assignment. My first foray into the magical world of javascript.

I guess it counts as art, I did after all take the pictures. My camera from 2nd year of high school lives on!

I'd like to do a real post sometime soon, but in the mean time have one of my little creatures

D'aaaaaaw. This little plane beast is pretty popular just because it is slightly less antagonistic than most of the other creatures. I have a whole bunch of these sorts of fellows I'd like to sketch out, but I'm super sleepy right now.

Awesome thing about having to know all of the muscles in the body: knowing what groups you are bastardizing in your fantasy creature XD

This picture is a direct result of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukIZRD1mzLg (bless youtube, haha). This was some primary research my comparative professor did, proving vampire bats are pretty damn speedy on the ground as well.

A half-assed post? NO WAY.

SOOOo.. lately I haven't so much been doing drawing as I have been doing typography. I'd like to take a class, but I'm afraid then I'll hate typography and start drawing again. (SUCH IS ME. YAY I SUCK.) But we'll see. Maybe someday. Anyhoo, here's the stuff from my sketchbook that I like.

HAY KRISTI LOOK IT'S A SIMURGH IN A TREE. I thought it would make you happy.
For some reason I want to sing about it to the tune of "Blinded by the light"
"SIIIMURGH IN A TREE!" Buuut that just probably went over everyone's heads. Oh well. He's in a tree. About sparrow sized. I was just thinking about how Kristi always mocks the build of the simurgh and I think that maybe they could flit about trees. If they were small, you know.

I took a class called color and design these are my big projects from it. It was all on color theory and required us to use cold press illustration board and artist quality goache. Which basically translates to cost me 400 dollars. So enjoy. The pics aren't the best quality but my camera is from 2nd year of high school so give it a break. First AssignmentCollapse )MidtermCollapse )Final ProjectCollapse )This was our final project. Design a mandala and use split complement color scheme. I used yellow split complement color scheme. 16 hours total painting. C&amp;DFinalFull C&amp;DFinalLeftCloseUp C&amp;DFinalRightCloseUp You can't see all the fine details and effort I put but you can get the idea. Also no one had posted in a long time. So if my lazy ass can do it so can you!</div>

Oh photoshop, I have missed you so. Here all, have some dorky sketches. There are two-second character bios at the bottom if you feel so inclined. The techies, navagator, and one recon agent haven't made an appearance yet. They will.

So I generally have a tradition of making pics for Halloween, but week of finals is in THREE DAYS, so I'm slacking a bit on this front. Hence, you get zombie girl, scribbled when I was industriously zoning out in the library.

She has sexy 2 tone zombie hair because I realized she was starting to cover up my notes. As it stands, her eye is blue because of the word 'pes'. F-ing zombies, eating anatomy notes...

I have one more week before I can start not-updating due to negligence instead of stress. Rejoice! Actually, I have quite a few pictures I want to finish, so hopefully it won't be too long before I make a real update

Okay people, I could use some input.

I basically want to say: "It was really hot." Only, a lot more interesting than that.

I came up with this: "It was hotter than a bitch in heat." I have a voice in the back of my head that thinks I may have heard that somewhere. Don't want my first line to be a cliche.

So...any ideas of whats hot? "...hotter than a Blacksmith's balls draped in black leather."? Too much? Stupid, maybe? Are Blacksmiths balls even hot? (if you have any first hand experience with that, an anecdote is requested ;p).

hmm"...hotter than a fornicater burning in Purgatory."? Heh, a Dante's Inferno allusion makes me feel smart...that and the word allusion.
